چکیده
One of the urgent problems modern health care is growing resistance microorganisms to antibiotics, including carbapenems, which until recently were considered as drugs choice in treatment life-threatening infections. Enzymatic inactivation through production carbapenemase, main mechanism Gram-negative bacteria. The these infections presents significant difficulties due extremely limited arsenal effective drugs. Aztreonam currently first and only monocyclic beta-lactam antibiotic, monobactam, used clinical practice for caused by gram-negative data obtained vitro observations are presented. These results justify use drug a number «problem» pathogens, those resistant carbapenems. has high potential should be treat patients with nosocomial – focus its bacteria-producers metallo-beta-lactamases.

Pharmacological Characteristics and Clinical Applications of K201
K201 is a 1,4-benzothiazepine derivative that is a promising new drug with a strong cardioprotective effect. We initially discovered K201 as an effective suppressant of sudden cardiac cell death due to calcium overload. K201 is a non-specific blocker of sodium, potassium and calcium channels, and its cardioprotective effect is more marked than those of nicorandil, prazosine, propranolol, verapa...

Amphetamine was discovered over 100 years ago. Since then, it has transformed from a drug that was freely available without prescription as a panacea for a broad range of disorders into a highly restricted Controlled Drug with therapeutic applications restricted to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. This review describes the relationship between chemical structure a...
متن کاملPresent and future pharmacological approaches.
There is evidence that drugs altering food intake such as dexfenfluramine, sibutramine and orlistat have useful therapeutic effects, with an acceptable side effect profile. 'Thermogenic' drugs, such as ephedrine and caffeine, are also effective, but less well tolerated and may, in any case, work by producing anorexia. The state of drug treatment for obesity now is similar to the early days of a...
